Semrush launches RushRaft, a new way for businesses and individuals to market themselves anytime, anywhere

Today, Semrush launched RushRaft - a new social media campaign designed to help individuals and businesses market themselves in a fun, interactive, and helpful way. RushRaft allows originators of short-form video content to receive help on a situation they’re facing, and it allows the respondent of that video to market their products, services, or expertise in a way that alleviates the originator’s situation. The goal is to build community and foster interaction between creators and the businesses they love.
The campaign is centered around storytelling and the concept of creating an exciting new way for businesses and creators to market themselves, for free. In Semrush’s State Of Content Marketing Global Report, short-form video was revealed as the top performing content (outperforming other mediums by 43%). RushRaft was developed so that anyone, anywhere in the world, can reach out to a brand and ask them for help with the situation they’re facing - all in around 30 seconds or less.
A RushRaft pairing consists of two videos on Instagram Reels - the call and response from a creator / business to another creator / business. The creator will tell their followers about a unique situation that they are experiencing in a short, succinct way (ie “Rush”), and then call upon a business of their choice to come to their rescue (ie “Raft”). Upon receipt of the video, the business can then respond directly to the creator offering a solution, advice, or words of wisdom. Semrush created a sound effect to tie all campaign videos together and make them easily searchable.
Semrush has always been dedicated to helping businesses grow and elevate their visibility online. RushRaft is a natural extension of that mission. Everyone faces challenges everyday, and a lot of people find themselves in unique situations that only a business, rather than a family member or friend, can help them with. With RushRaft, Semrush has built an underlying social media infrastructure to empower individuals to find the help they need quickly, and to allow businesses to provide that help while marketing themselves at the same time.
